Refund and Returns Policy

At Khurshid Book Store, we aim to keep your shopping experience smooth. If something goes wrong, this Refund & Returns Policy explains how returns, exchanges, and refunds work for orders placed on khurshidbookstore.com.
1) Return Window
You can request a return or exchange within 7 days of delivery. After 7 days, we may not be able to accept a return.
2) When Returns Are Accepted
We accept returns/exchanges in these cases:
- You received the wrong item.
- Your item arrived damaged.
- Your item is missing from the parcel.
- You received a product with a manufacturing defect (where applicable).
3) Items That Are Not Returnable
Returns are not accepted for:
- Sale / clearance items (unless damaged or wrong item delivered).
- Used items or items not in original condition.
- Items with missing tags, packaging, or accessories.
- Sealed/packaged items that have been opened (where hygiene/quality applies).
- Any item marked as non-returnable on the product page.
4) Condition Requirements
To qualify for a return/exchange, the item must be:
- Unused and in the same condition you received it.
- In original packaging (if packaging was provided).
- Returned with invoice/order number proof.
5) Reporting an Issue (Important)
If you received a damaged, wrong, or missing item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Please share:
- Order number
- Clear photos of the item
- Photos of the parcel packaging (label visible)
- Short description of the issue
6) Return Method
After your return request is approved, we will guide you on the return process. In many cases, we may ask you to send the item back through a courier.
- If the return is due to our mistake (wrong/damaged item), we will guide you accordingly.
- If the return is due to customer preference, return shipping may be the customer’s responsibility.
7) Exchanges
If you want an exchange (size/variant/another item), we will process it based on availability. If the replacement item is out of stock, we may offer an alternative or refund (if applicable).
8) Refunds
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of approval or rejection. If approved, your refund will be processed as per the method below.
Refund Method (COD Orders)
Since we offer Cash on Delivery (COD), refunds are generally processed via:
- Bank transfer to your provided account details, or
- Store credit (if you prefer).
Refund processing time can vary depending on verification and return delivery time.
9) Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be issued if:
- The item is returned in a condition different from delivery (used, damaged by customer).
- Parts/accessories/packaging are missing.
10) Order Cancellation
- You can request cancellation before dispatch.
- If the order is already dispatched, cancellation may not be possible and return rules apply.
- Repeated COD refusals may lead to order restrictions in the future.
